A QR scan station for the gate or classroom
Students carry an ID card with a QR code. A scan station — any phone, tablet or computer with a camera — marks them present as they arrive. It is a practical alternative to fingerprint hardware: no devices to buy, nothing to install.
Staff attendance too
Staff attendance is recorded in its own module, in the same system as student attendance, so the principal sees both without keeping two registers.
Let parents know
Use the Communications module to send notices to parents by SMS or email, and let them check their child's attendance themselves in the parent login.

Do we need special scanning hardware?
